Hey, it's me

Moritz Löwenstein

programmer, hobby musician, käsekuchen connoisseur.
trying to get faster at running and cycling.
working @ YUNIVERS.

YUNIVERS

While studying at TU Darmstadt, two of my friends founded YUNIVERS, and not too long after, I joined them. YUNIVERS is a company that provides web development services to marketing and design agencies. Recently, we expanded our services to independently complete tech-heavy projects without intermediaries.

Music

I began playing the trumpet at age seven and later joined my hometown's youth orchestra. In my teenage years, I switched to the euphonium. I currently play for two different orchestras (OV Langen, Musikschulorchester Langen). Our next performance is the annual concert of the OV Langen, where we'll perform a mix of energetic pop songs, classic jazz standards, dynamic overtures, and popular musical tunes.

Sports

During and after the pandemic, I went to the bouldering gym about twice a week. Lately, I've shifted my focus to running and cycling. Having different disciplines has helped me stay active and healthy. Besides staying active, I like the competitive aspect, especially tracking my own data. My current goal is to run 5 km in under 20 minutes, and I'm training with the Saucony Guide 17 shoes, which provide very good stability and comfort.

Programming

My first steps in programming were small Java projects, such as calculating the weekday of a date. Later, I started programming SourceMod plugins for CS:GO servers, which were used by a small community. Besides working at YUNIVERS, I occasionally write code for my personal projects. The main focus there is currently on CS2ASSETS, a website for analyzing the market data of CS2 items and tracking their price changes. CS2 is a game with in-game items which can be traded between accounts and sold on different online marketplaces for cash.
